Let's break the silence together

Helping athletes find their voice on & off the field

Yes, student athletes face the same developmental tasks and life stressors as non athletes. What is unique about student athletes is that they face stressors and expectations unlike any other that could either trigger mental health symptoms or intensify an existing mental health issue.
Common stressors that student athletes face include: time demands working developing their talent, lack of time to engage in other extracurricular activities, sleep deprivation, pressure to perform, injuries, transitioning from high school to college, seeing oneself as only an athlete.

"I'm not a robot-neither are the other athletes who at times might seem unapproachable. we all have emotions. we all have a story to tell."
~Derek Jeter

Mental Health & Athletes

My mission is to assist in breaking the mental health stigma within the sports culture by raising awareness for the needs of student athletes through counseling and education.

I assist student athletes in reaching their full potential academically, athletically, emotionally and spiritually by empowering them to utilize their strengths to increase their overall wellbeing.
